• METAMORPHOSIS IN THE SLAUGHTERHOUSE WON THE GRAND JURY AWARD FOR BEST NARRATIVE FEATURE!

    Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse,’ directed by Iranian Javad Daraei and produced by Mehdi Koohzadeh, won the Jury Special Award of the Las Vegas Asian Film Awards (LVAFA) in the US.

    The festival was held in Hot Rod City, in both physical and virtual formats, Mehr News Agency reported.

    The film narrates the story of a family who must move from their village.

    Shadi was a little girl when her parents were accused of murdering a girl and thus killed by the villagers. She was then adopted by her uncle and grew up under his care. Now, Shadi must face the problems caused by the village residents.

    Fariba Talebi, Saeed Ahmadi, Fariba Torkashvand, Farahnaz Manafi-Zaher, Rahmat Shekarkhandeh, Foujan Ahmadi, Mahshid Khosravi, Iman Sarraf, Arezou Balali-Dehkordi, Sarina Yousefi, Mohammad Eqlimi, Amir-Abbas Qazaee, and Avin Kouhzadeh are among the film’s cast.

    WINS TOW AWARD AT 22ND Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival


    Directed by Javad Daraei and produced by Mehdi Koohzadeh, the movie narrates the story of a family who must move from their village.

    At the 22nd Bare Bones International Film & Music Festival , Metamorphosis in the Slaughterhouse’ SPECIAL LEGACY AWARD and BUMBLEBEE AWARD (AGAINST ALL ODDS) for Javad Daraei.

    The festival will feature narrative and short films, animation and live action filled screenplay readings in it’s competitive program.
    Named one of the “25 Festivals worth the entry fee” by Moviemaker Magazine and named one of the “20 best festivals for new and emerging filmmakers.” The Bare Bones Film Festival experience has long been touted as the “Friendliest Film Festival” by the many filmmakers who return year after year.

    The 2021 edition of the event is slated for April 22 – May 1, 2021 in Oklahoma.
